WELCOME 2023
This schedule includes dates for the 2024 TPA Summer camps. All 2023 summer camps were full by May 1, 2023
With the change of staff here at TPA and with so many folks getting vaccinated for Covid, we are once again opening up our summer camps to outside riders. We take 8-10 riders per camp with 2-4 instructors and helpers per camp.
Places for either camp will first be open to regular TPA students and then we will open remaining spots to outside interested parties. If you haven't ridden at TPA before, we suggest that you or your child take five primary lessons before either camp so that the student has a foundation of grooming, tacking up and basic leading abilities.
Thank you,
Charlie, and Josh

Students will do groundwork, ride bareback, jump, ride western, do drill work and ride cross country.
Bring lunch lots of snacks and a reusable water bottle!
If you have never attended a TPA summer camp, we suggest that the new student come and view what and how we teach at the farm and then schedule a groom and tack lesson and a minimum of five riding lessons if the student has never had any riding experience. If a student from another farm has experience, then we suggest that the student take the groom and tack lessons followed by three riding lessons..
Our summer camps are very different than many other summer camps. We don't do a lot of pony painting or leading our students around from the ground. Summer camp students usually ride a minimum of 2-4 hours a day and many go from not being able to steer or tack up a pony to being able to post a trot, play games and be safe and confident on a different pony each day. We stress working with each other, being efficient as a group or individual and personal growth.
On Friday, the last day of Summer Camp, at 4 PM Sharp we invite parents and friends to the "End of Summer Camp Awards and Celebration." This is a half hour to hour question and answer, commentary and awards ceremony for our summer camp students. It's a great way to celebrate new friendships,, hard work accomplished, so much learned, courage found, and sad goodbyes for the year.
And in 2024, due to the high demand for attendance at our camps, we will no longer have prorated days. Camp will be $600 for one day or five days.
